Official Brighton & Hove Albion FC Tickets

Face Value

The American Express Stadium holds 31,876 fans and sells out most Premier League fixtures. Unlike several top-flight clubs, Brighton does offer genuine general sale windows for lower-demand matches, giving visitors without a long history a realistic route in. The MyAlbion+ membership is the key that unlocks priority windows.

Quick reality check for visitors:
  • Big fixtures (Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham): Essentially sold out before general sale. Hospitality or trusted marketplaces are the realistic options
  • Mid-table Premier League fixtures: Possible via MyAlbion+ priority window, then general sale around two to three weeks after initial release
  • Lower-demand fixtures (newly promoted sides, early season): Genuine general sale availability is Brighton's relative advantage over most Premier League clubs. Worth targeting for first-time visitors
  • Brighton is more accessible than the traditional 'big six' - the club actively promotes general sale availability for certain fixtures
The MyAlbion+ membership system:
  • MyAlbion+ is the club's paid membership tier, available for a small annual fee. It gives priority access ahead of general sale for all home and away league and cup matches
  • Season ticket holders have the highest priority, followed by 1901 Club members (hospitality-level season tickets), then MyAlbion+ members, and finally general sale
  • The 1901 Club is Brighton's premium membership combining hospitality experience with a guaranteed season seat - a separate, higher-tier product from MyAlbion+
  • For first-time visitors, MyAlbion+ is worth purchasing if you are targeting a specific fixture in advance. The membership is affordable and genuinely improves your odds
How the sales process works:
  • Season ticket holders get first access, followed by MyAlbion+ members in a priority window (Week 1 of sales: one ticket per member)
  • A second window opens allowing additional tickets per person before the general sale begins
  • General sale typically opens around 16 days after tickets first go on sale to members. Check the club's official website for each fixture as windows vary
  • Monitor the official ticketing site at tickets.brightonandhovealbion.com for fixture-specific sale dates
Brighton Ticket Exchange (your backup plan):
  • The Albion Ticket Exchange allows season ticket holders and match ticket buyers to list unwanted seats back into the official system
  • Returned tickets are resold at adult matchday face value - not above
  • Exchange tickets become available to supporters who already have the credentials to purchase for that fixture (phase of sale). Not a free-for-all
  • Check the exchange regularly in the two to three weeks before the match via your MyAlbion Digital account
What is realistically accessible without purchase history:
  • Best targets: Lower-demand Premier League fixtures, FA Cup home ties, early rounds of cup competitions
  • Mid-tier: Possible for general sale with MyAlbion+ membership and quick action when windows open
  • Near impossible: Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham. Target hospitality or verified marketplaces for these
  • Our take: Brighton is more visitor-friendly than many Premier League clubs. Buy a MyAlbion+ membership early, monitor the ticketing site, and target a fixture outside the top six. General sale windows do exist and do have tickets
Pricing (when you get through):
  • Brighton uses a category system based on the opposition. Higher-profile opponents attract higher prices
  • Budget-friendly areas are available in the upper tiers of the East Stand and North Stand
  • Face value remains significantly cheaper than secondary market prices
  • MyAlbion+ members receive a discount on stadium tours as an added benefit
💡

When Official Tickets Work

  • Join MyAlbion+ well before your planned trip and set alerts for when individual fixture sales open. For lower-demand fixtures, the general sale window can have genuine availability
  • The free travel scheme is a significant perk - all supporters with a matchday ticket can travel for free on trains and buses within the Brighton travel zone from 3.5 hours before kickoff until 3.5 hours after the final whistle
  • Check the Ticket Exchange two to three weeks before the match. Season ticket holders who cannot attend list seats back at face value
  • FA Cup and League Cup home ties in earlier rounds often have better availability than Premier League fixtures

Pre-Match Pubs & Atmosphere

Most Brighton fans drink in the city centre before taking the train to Falmer for the match. Options near the ground itself are limited - the Amex is in a village setting. The Terrace fan zone at the stadium opened in 2025 and is the main pre-match option at the ground (free to enter). The Swan Inn in Falmer is the nearest traditional pub but admits home fans only on matchdays.

The Caxton Arms

4-minute walk from Brighton station (pre-match, then train to Falmer)

Atmosphere: Traditional pub, Brighton fan stronghold

The closest proper pub to Brighton station and a reliable first choice for supporters arriving by train. Covered in Brighton and Hove Albion memorabilia, shows live football, and opens from 11am on matchdays. Split into three sections with TVs in two of them. Known for friendly staff and a strong home-fan atmosphere.

Entry notes: Home fans pub. Open from 11am on matchdays. No specific entry requirements but expect a busy, predominantly Brighton-fan crowd.

The Railway Bell

3-minute walk from Brighton station (pre-match, then train to Falmer)

Atmosphere: Sports pub, multiple screens, lively

A Craft Union pub directly outside Brighton station with multiple sports screens showing Premier League football including Brighton matches. Loud and busy on matchdays - good for a pint before the train to Falmer. Less Brighton-specific than the Caxton Arms but more space and screens.

Entry notes: Open to all fans. Mixed clientele on matchdays. No specific restrictions.

Swan Inn

5-minute walk from Falmer station (at the ground)

Atmosphere: Traditional village pub, historic, CAMRA-recognised

A family-run free house in Falmer village with three bars, including a Barn bar open specifically on Albion matchdays. Over 100 years old, the walls are covered with antique adverts and photos of the village. CAMRA Brighton Pub of the Year 2024 Highly Commended. The only traditional pub at the ground itself.

Entry notes: Home fans only on matchdays. Gets extremely busy. No parking available at the pub.

💡

Pre-Match Strategy

  • Most Brighton supporters drink in the city centre and take the train to Falmer. The nine-minute journey means you can leave the pub relatively late - aim to board a train at least 45 minutes before kickoff to avoid crowding
  • The Swan Inn in Falmer is home fans only on matchdays and fills quickly. Do not arrive expecting to walk in close to kickoff
  • The Terrace fan zone at the Amex opened in 2025 and holds up to 3,000 fans (1,000 covered indoors) with food, local ales, and live entertainment. It is free to enter on matchdays - no separate ticket required
  • After the match, the North Stand bar stays open for two hours and away fans are welcome - useful for letting the Falmer station queue clear before heading back to Brighton

Matchday Traditions & Atmosphere

Pre-Match Build-Up

The Amex is in Falmer, a village outside Brighton, which means the pre-match build-up for most supporters happens in Brighton city centre before they take the short train to the ground. Pubs near Brighton station fill with fans hours before kickoff, with groups taking the nine-minute Southern train to Falmer as kickoff approaches. The Terrace, Brighton's fan zone at the north corner of the Amex, opened in 2025 and is free to enter on matchdays. It holds up to 3,000 fans (1,000 indoors) with food, local ales, Heineken, and live entertainment. It is the pre-match option for those who want to stay at the ground rather than drinking in the city.

Inside the American Express Stadium

The North Stand is the most vocal section of the Amex. Safe standing was introduced there for the 2024-25 season and is being extended to lower rows from October 2026. Supporters in the safe standing area are expected to stand throughout and sing for the full 90 minutes. The teams walk out to 'Sussex by the Sea', a 1907 march by William Ward-Higgs that Brighton adopted as their anthem in 1910. Since a technical fault in December 2014 cut the music mid-song during a league match against Middlesbrough, the club has deliberately replicated this - the PA cuts out at the same moment, and the crowd sings the final lines unaccompanied. It is now one of the most recognised pre-match moments in English football.

Post-Match

Falmer station gets very busy after the final whistle - queues can take up to 50 minutes to clear on busy days. The South Stand concourse stays open for an hour after the match, and the North Stand bar is open to both home and away fans for two hours post-match. Many supporters take the option of having a drink while the queues subside before heading back to Brighton on the train.

💡

Visitor Tips

  • Arrive at Falmer station at least 90 minutes before kickoff on big matchdays. The station gets very busy close to kickoff, and the nine-minute journey is the bottleneck for most fans coming from Brighton
  • The North Stand is the most atmospheric section. The East Stand lower tier offers excellent views with a mix of home supporters
  • Do not rush out at the final whistle. Stay in the North Stand bar or South Stand concourse for an hour and let the station queues clear before heading to Falmer
