Club Brugge KV Tickets & Matchday Guide

Jan Breydel StadiumBruges2025/26 Season

How to Buy Club Brugge KV Tickets

We cover every path into the stadium: official club channels, officially authorized hospitality partners, and vetted resellers. Each evaluated honestly with realistic expectations so you know exactly what to expect.

Quick note: Some links on this page are affiliate partnerships. If you book through them, we earn a small commission, at no cost to you, that helps keep this guide free and up-to-date. This never affects our recommendations.

Official Club Brugge KV Tickets

Face Value

Club Brugge sell match tickets through their official ticketing platform at tickets.clubbrugge.be. A Club ID membership is required to purchase tickets - without one, you cannot complete a transaction on the official site. The Club ID costs a small annual fee, gives priority access during pre-sale windows, and includes a starting credit that partially offsets the cost.

Quick reality check for visitors:
  • Champions League home matches: High demand, sell out quickly through official channels. Club ID holders get priority but availability is limited for big UCL group-stage nights. Hospitality or the secondary market are more reliable for these fixtures
  • Belgian Pro League (Jupiler Pro League) mid-table fixtures: Generally available in general sale to Club ID holders. A better target for first-time visitors wanting official tickets
  • Anderlecht and other top-of-table fixtures: Higher demand, sell out faster. Book as soon as sale opens
  • Jan Breydel Stadium capacity is 29,042 - smaller than most UCL venues, so popular fixtures fill up faster than expected
The Club ID system:
  • The Club ID is Club Brugge's fan membership card, required for all ticket purchases on the official site. It costs a small annual fee but includes a starting credit that partially offsets the cost
  • Club ID members receive a discount on individual match tickets (typically several euros per ticket) and have priority access before general availability opens
  • For season ticket holders, the Club ID is automatically included. Single-match buyers need to purchase it separately at memberships.clubbrugge.be
  • The card is available as a physical card or a digital card via the Club app. A digital-only option has a lower cost but without the physical card
How ticket sales work:
  • Season ticket holders (Abonnees) have their seats reserved for all home league fixtures
  • Club ID holders then get a priority window to buy remaining seats before general availability
  • From a set date before each match, any fan with a Club ID can purchase remaining available seats at tickets.clubbrugge.be
  • The platform accepts standard payment cards. Tickets are digital - download the Club app or present your PDF at the gate
  • For Category A fixtures (Champions League, Anderlecht, top rivals), seats go faster. Check on sale dates at clubbrugge.be
What is realistically accessible without a long membership history:
  • Jupiler Pro League mid-table home fixtures: Buy the Club ID, then purchase a ticket during the open sale window. This is the most reliable route for first-time visitors
  • UCL and top league fixtures: Harder through official channels alone. Consider hospitality or secondary market (see below) if the fixture is sold out
  • The Club ID pays for itself over multiple visits - if you plan to attend more than once, it is worth buying
  • One practical note: Bruges is a tourist city and many visitors try to add a match, so popular fixtures attract more competition than a comparable sized club elsewhere in Belgium
💡

Ticket Strategy for Visitors

  • For a first visit, target a mid-table Jupiler Pro League home fixture. Get the Club ID in advance, then buy as soon as the sale window opens
  • For UCL nights, hospitality packages or the secondary market (LiveFootballTickets) are more reliable than waiting for official availability
  • Check the official match calendar at clubbrugge.be to see upcoming fixtures and any announced sale dates

Bruges Hotel Strategy for Club Brugge Matches

  • Staying in the historic city centre is the right call for a Bruges match trip - you get the canals, the bars, and Bruges's world-class dining in the same neighbourhood
  • The stadium is 3-4km from the centre, accessible by De Lijn bus in around 15 minutes from the 't Zand or Markt area
  • Book well in advance for Champions League fixtures. Bruges receives 8 million tourists a year for a city of 120,000, so hotel availability tightens quickly around high-profile matches

De Lijn Bus

Recommended

De Lijn - Flemish public bus network

Sint-Andries Kerk

Around 5-minute walk to stadium gates | De Lijn Bus 5, De Lijn Bus 15 | Bus lines 5 and 15 serve the Sint-Andries Kerk stop from Bruges train station and city centre. Services run every 10-15 minutes. Sint-Andries Kerk is the closest stop to Jan Breydel, roughly a 5-minute walk to the gates via Olympialaan.

Journey time: Around 15 minutes from Bruges train station to Sint-Andries Kerk.
Frequency: Every 10-15 minutes. De Lijn does not typically run additional matchday services - normal timetable applies.
Cost: Standard De Lijn single ticket. Tap in with a bank card or use the De Lijn app. Check delijn.be for current fares.

Tips:

  • Board at Bruges Station (perron C7 area) or from 't Zand square for buses heading towards Sint-Andries
  • Allow extra time - buses fill up on matchday evenings and can run a few minutes late
  • After the match, the bus queue at Sint-Andries Kerk gets long. Walking the first 10-15 minutes towards the city before picking up a bus is often faster

Walking

From City Centre

On foot

Bruges city centre to Jan Breydel Stadium

Approximately 40-50 minutes on foot | | The most-used walking route follows Gistelse Steenweg south from the city centre towards Sint-Andries, passing De Platse bars (Cafe Jan Breydel, Den Comptoir, De Chalet) before reaching Olympialaan, which leads directly to the stadium gates. A practical option for matchday build-up if you want to stop at De Platse along the way.

Journey time: 40-50 minutes from the historic centre on foot. Around 30 minutes from the train station.
Frequency: Walking is always an option. The route is straightforward and well-lit for evening matches.
Cost: Free.

Tips:

  • Walking via Gistelse Steenweg means you pass the De Platse bars - a good combination of pre-match drinks and exercise if time allows
  • After the match, walking back to the centre avoids the bus queue at Sint-Andries Kerk. The 40-minute walk is manageable for most fans

Pre-Match Bars Near Jan Breydel Stadium

The area immediately around Jan Breydel Stadium is relatively quiet for bars compared to most European football grounds. Most Club Brugge fans spend pre-match time in the city centre before heading out, or stop at the De Platse cluster on Gistelse Steenweg on the walk to the ground. The Markt and Eiermarkt squares in the historic centre have a good variety of Belgian beer cafes.

Cafe Jan Breydel

5-minute walk from stadium, on Gistelse Steenweg (De Platse)

Atmosphere: Local sports bar, matchday atmosphere, home fans

Part of the De Platse cluster on Gistelse Steenweg - the traditional fan hub on the approach to Jan Breydel Stadium. Popular with long-term Club Brugge supporters and a reliable pre-match stop for fans walking to the ground from the city centre. The whole De Platse strip was renovated in 2024 and reopened ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Entry notes: Open to all home fans. Fills up quickly in the hour before kickoff for big fixtures.

Den Comptoir

5-minute walk from stadium, on Gistelse Steenweg (De Platse)

Atmosphere: Local bar, pre-match drinks, home fans

Part of the De Platse cluster alongside Cafe Jan Breydel, on the same stretch of Gistelse Steenweg. One of the more established pre-match bars on this strip, popular with regular Club Brugge supporters. A less crowded alternative to Cafe Jan Breydel in the final 30 minutes before kickoff.

Entry notes: Open to all fans. Quieter than Cafe Jan Breydel, good option when the street is at capacity.

De Chalet

5-minute walk from stadium, on Gistelse Steenweg (De Platse)

Atmosphere: Traditional neighbourhood cafe, food served

A neighbourhood cafe on the same De Platse strip as Cafe Jan Breydel and Den Comptoir (Gistelse Steenweg 530). Serves food and drinks, making it a reasonable option for a pre-match meal on the walk to the stadium. Less specifically football-oriented than its neighbours on the strip.

Entry notes: Open to all. Good for a pre-match meal if arriving early.

City Centre - Markt and Eiermarkt Area

City centre, 3-4km from stadium

Atmosphere: Traditional Belgian beer cafes, relaxed, varied

The majority of Club Brugge fans drink in the historic city centre before heading out to the stadium by bus or on foot. The Markt square and Eiermarkt area have a concentration of traditional Belgian cafes including De Garre (renowned for its house tripel), 't Brugs Beertje (300+ Belgian beers on the menu since 1983), and Cafe Craenenburg on the Markt. These are the right places for a proper Belgian beer session before heading out to the match.

Entry notes: All open to the public, home and away fans welcome. No match ticket required. Busy on weekend evenings regardless of match.

💡

Pre-Match Bar Strategy

  • Spend pre-match time in the city centre if arriving by train - the Markt and Eiermarkt bars are far better for Belgian beer selection than the stadium area
  • If you want to walk to the stadium, the De Platse bars on Gistelse Steenweg are a natural stopping point on the route - arrive there around 90 minutes before kickoff before they fill up
  • The city centre is 40-50 minutes' walk from the stadium - factor in transit time when planning your last drink before heading to Jan Breydel

Matchday Traditions and Atmosphere

Pre-Match Build-Up

Most Club Brugge fans gather in the city centre before heading to the stadium. The Markt square and nearby streets fill with supporters on big matchdays. For fans who prefer to be closer to the ground, De Platse - a cluster of bars on Gistelse Steenweg running towards the stadium - is the main pre-match strip. Cafe Jan Breydel and Den Comptoir are the two most consistently recommended bars on this stretch, filling up from 90 minutes before kickoff on busy fixture days. De Platse underwent a full civic renovation in 2024 (completed July 8, 2024) and reopened before the 2024-25 season. The walk from De Platse along Gistelse Steenweg to Olympialaan leads directly to Jan Breydel's gates. Club Brugge supporters also sing "You'll Never Walk Alone" before home matches - a tradition that surprises many visiting fans expecting it to be exclusive to Liverpool and Celtic.

Inside Jan Breydel Stadium

Jan Breydel is a compact, all-seater ground shared with local rivals Cercle Brugge. The home support concentrates in the Noord Tribune (North Stand), which produces the loudest atmosphere. The Bruges derby between Club Brugge and Cercle is one of the most intense in Belgium - both clubs sharing the same ground makes segregation essential, with sections clearly delineated on derby days. Champions League nights fill the ground to its 29,042 capacity and the noise from the north end carries clearly across the stadium. The North Stand has a strong tifo culture on European nights, with large coordinated flag and banner displays as players walk out. Cashless payment only inside the stadium.

Post-Match

After the final whistle, fans disperse back along Gistelse Steenweg to De Platse bars or take the De Lijn bus back towards the city centre. The Markt and surrounding streets stay busy after evening matches. Bruges's canal-side restaurants and cafes draw fans for post-match meals, with the Burg square and 't Zand area offering plenty of options within a short walk of the main bus stops.

💡

Matchday Visitor Tips

  • Arrive at the stadium at least 45 minutes before kickoff. Security queues at Jan Breydel move slowly for major fixtures, particularly UCL nights
  • Card payment only inside the stadium - no cash is accepted at concessions or bars
  • For evening kickoffs in Bruges (common for UCL), book a restaurant reservation in advance. The city centre fills quickly on match nights
