Groupama Stadium opened in January 2016, with Alexandre Lacazette scoring the first goal in a 4-1 win over Troyes. The enclosed roof amplifies crowd noise significantly. The Virage Nord (North Stand) is the heartbeat of OL's support, led by the Bad Gones (founded 1987) - the club's historic ultra group who have animated the North Stand for nearly four decades with coordinated tifos and continuous singing. In 2023, Bloc 405 Ferveur Nord joined to animate the upper third tier of the Virage Nord, expanding the singing section upward.
