How to Buy Real Betis Tickets

We cover every path into the stadium: official club channels, officially authorized hospitality partners, and vetted resellers. Each evaluated honestly with realistic expectations so you know exactly what to expect.

Quick note: Some links here are affiliate links, so we may earn a commission at no cost to you.

Official Real Betis Tickets

Face Value

Real Betis play at Estadio de La Cartuja (capacity around 70,000) provisionally from 2025-26 through 2027-28 while Estadio Benito Villamarin is rebuilt, with a return to the renovated Villamarin targeted for the 2028-29 season at the earliest. The move to a larger stadium means more tickets reach general sale than in previous seasons, but high-demand matches still sell out during member windows.

Quick reality check for visitors:
  • Seville Derby (vs Sevilla FC), Real Madrid, Barcelona: Extremely high demand. Socios and season ticket holders get priority. Hospitality or verified marketplaces are your realistic options
  • Mid-table La Liga matches: Available through general sale on the official website. La Cartuja's larger capacity helps, but check early when sales open
  • Copa del Rey and lower-demand La Liga fixtures: Best chances for visitors at face value through official channels
  • Spanish football culture means late kickoffs (9pm or later) are common, especially on weekends. Plan your evening around this
Real Betis ticketing system:
  • Tickets are sold through the official website at en.realbetisbalompie.es/tickets. The club introduced a new phased ticketing system for the La Cartuja seasons
  • Soy Betico is the official membership programme. Members and season ticket holders get priority access in Phase 1 of each ticket sale
  • Phase 2 (general sale) opens a few days after the priority window, but only if tickets remain. For most La Liga matches, tickets do reach this phase
  • A final phase opens in the last 24-48 hours before kickoff with remaining seats
How the ticket sale process works:
  • Season ticket holders (abonados) have automatic access to every home match at La Cartuja
  • Soy Betico members get a priority purchase window using their ID and PIN during Phase 1
  • General sale opens after the priority window closes, for matches with remaining capacity
  • For the Seville Derby and matches against Madrid or Barcelona, tickets almost never reach general sale
Important for international visitors:
  • The official website at en.realbetisbalompie.es has English pages, though the ticketing portal may default to Spanish
  • Tickets are digital-only for the La Cartuja seasons. You receive a QR code via email or the club app, which you scan at the stadium turnstiles
  • A valid ID (passport for international visitors) may be required at the gate
  • P1 Travel is an official authorized ticket agent for Real Betis, offering ticket and hotel packages for international visitors
💡

Real Betis Ticket Strategy

  • For most La Liga matches, checking en.realbetisbalompie.es/tickets about a week before kickoff is your best bet. Phase 2 (general sale) opens a few days after the priority window
  • For the Seville Derby (vs Sevilla FC), Real Madrid, and Barcelona matches, look at hospitality, P1 Travel, or marketplace options. These sell out during member windows
  • La Cartuja is larger than the old Benito Villamarin, so availability for mid-table fixtures is better than in previous seasons
  • Spanish matches regularly kick off at 9pm or later on weekends. Factor this into your dinner and transport plans

Seville Hotel Strategy for Real Betis Matches

  • Isla de la Cartuja is the most convenient area for matchday, with the Barcelo Renacimiento and Exe Isla Cartuja both within walking distance of the stadium
  • Triana is the most authentic Seville neighbourhood, with flamenco bars, ceramic workshops, and great tapas. The Barqueta Bridge connects directly to the stadium area
  • The Santa Cruz historic district is the most atmospheric base for a Seville trip, with the Cathedral, Alcazar, and tapas bars on your doorstep. The shuttle bus system makes getting to La Cartuja straightforward
  • Book early for the Seville Derby (vs Sevilla FC) and Semana Santa (Holy Week). Seville hotels fill up and prices spike during these periods

Getting to Estadio de La Cartuja

Estadio de La Cartuja is on Isla de la Cartuja, separated from the city centre by the Guadalquivir River. The city runs a dedicated 'Lanzadera Betis' shuttle bus service on matchdays connecting Blas Infante metro station to the stadium. Cercanias commuter trains also stop at Estadio Olimpico station. Police close the main roads around the stadium 90 minutes before kickoff, so public transport is strongly recommended.

Take Metro Line 1 to Blas Infante station, then board the dedicated Lanzadera Betis shuttle bus directly to the stadium. Shuttles run every 5 minutes starting 2.5 hours before kickoff. This is the most efficient way to reach La Cartuja.

Journey time: About 15-20 minutes from Puerta Jerez (city centre) to Blas Infante by metro, then 10-15 minutes by shuttle to the stadium.
Frequency: Metro every 4-5 minutes at peak times. Shuttle buses every 5 minutes on matchdays.
Cost: Standard metro ticket plus free shuttle bus.

Pre-Match Bars for Real Betis Matches

Since Real Betis moved to La Cartuja, the pre-match scene has shifted away from the old Heliopolis neighbourhood. The main gathering point is now Parque del Alamillo next to the stadium, where the club sets up a fan zone with food trucks and music. For a traditional bar experience before the match, the Alameda de Hercules neighbourhood is the go-to area, with dozens of bars and a short shuttle ride or walk across the Barqueta Bridge to the stadium. Important: Sevilla FC is Betis's fierce city rival. Avoid bars in the Nervion area near the Sevilla FC stadium on derby day.

Parque del Alamillo Fan Zone

Adjacent to Estadio de La Cartuja

Atmosphere: Open-air fan zone, Food trucks, Family-friendly

The main pre-match gathering point since the move to La Cartuja. A large park directly next to the stadium that fills with Betis fans hours before kickoff. The club sets up an official fan zone near the Gol Sur with food trucks, live music, and the official club store. Families, groups, and solo fans all congregate here. The green and white scarves, flags, and drums create the atmosphere.

Entry notes: Open to all. Outdoor park setting, no entry fee. Food trucks accept card payment. The place to be on matchdays at La Cartuja.

Bar Eslava

Alameda de Hercules, 25-minute walk or short shuttle to stadium

Atmosphere: Traditional tapas bar, Award-winning, Lively

An award-winning tapas bar on the edge of the Alameda de Hercules. Known for creative tapas and a busy local crowd. A great starting point for a pre-match evening in the Alameda before heading across the river to La Cartuja. The Alameda is full of bars if this one is packed.

Entry notes: Open to all. Can get very busy, especially on weekend evenings. Walk-ins only. The Alameda de Hercules is a 25-minute walk from La Cartuja via the Barqueta Bridge, or take the shuttle from Blas Infante.

La Alameda (Bar Crawl)

Alameda de Hercules, 25-minute walk or shuttle to stadium

Atmosphere: Neighbourhood square, Dozens of bar options, Cosmopolitan

The Alameda de Hercules is a wide, tree-lined plaza with dozens of bars, cafes, and restaurants along its edges. Popular with locals and visiting fans alike. On matchdays, Betis supporters fill the terraces along the plaza for drinks and tapas before heading to La Cartuja. Not a single bar but an entire area. Start at one end and work your way along.

Entry notes: Open to all. The Alameda is one of Seville's liveliest neighbourhoods, especially in the evening. The Barqueta Bridge connects directly to the La Cartuja island for a 25-minute walk to the stadium.

💡

Pre-Match Strategy

  • The Parque del Alamillo fan zone is the main pre-match gathering point at La Cartuja. Arrive early for food trucks, music, and atmosphere. This is where the matchday experience starts
  • The Alameda de Hercules is the best traditional bar area for Betis fans before a match. Dozens of bars, great tapas, and a 25-minute walk across the Barqueta Bridge to the stadium
  • With late kickoffs (9pm), the previa often doubles as dinner. Order tapas at the Alameda rather than a sit-down meal
  • Do not head to the Heliopolis area on matchday. The old Benito Villamarin is closed for renovation and La Cartuja is on the opposite side of the city

Matchday Traditions & Atmosphere

Pre-Match Build-Up

Since the move to La Cartuja, the pre-match scene has shifted from the Heliopolis neighbourhood around the old Benito Villamarin to the area around Parque del Alamillo, the large park adjacent to the stadium on Isla de la Cartuja. Fans gather under the trees with food and drinks hours before kickoff, and the club sets up an official fan zone near the Gol Sur (South Stand) with food trucks, live music, and the official club store. For a more traditional bar scene, many Beticos start in the Alameda de Hercules neighbourhood before taking the shuttle bus across the river. Late kickoffs (9pm or later) are standard in Spanish football, so the previa often starts in the early evening.

Inside Estadio de La Cartuja

The Gol Sur (South Stand) is the home of Supporters Gol Sur, the club's main ultra group founded in 1986. They produce flags, drums, tifo displays, and non-stop chanting throughout every match. The signature moment comes just before kickoff when the entire stadium sings the Real Betis anthem acapella, with no stadium speakers, just the voices of tens of thousands of fans. Even in the larger Olympic bowl of La Cartuja, this tradition carries real power. Only non-alcoholic beer (0.0%) is served inside the stadium due to Spanish law, so have your drinks at Parque del Alamillo or a nearby bar before entering.

El Gran Derbi (vs Sevilla FC)

The Seville Derby between Real Betis and Sevilla FC is one of the most intense local rivalries in European football. The two clubs share the city and the rivalry runs deep through families and neighbourhoods. The atmosphere at La Cartuja for the derby is the most charged of the season, with Supporters Gol Sur producing their biggest displays. Tickets for this fixture almost never reach general sale. Important: This is a genuine rivalry with real tension. Avoid wearing Sevilla colours in Betis areas, and do not visit Sevilla-affiliated bars in the Nervion area on derby day if attending as a Betis supporter.

Post-Match

After the match, the area around La Cartuja gets busy as fans head toward the shuttle buses back to Blas Infante metro station or the Cercanias train stop. Allow 20-30 minutes for the initial crowds to clear. Many fans grab a drink at the food trucks near the stadium before heading back into the city. With late kickoffs being the norm, post-match often means midnight tapas and drinks in the Alameda de Hercules or the historic centre, which is perfectly normal in Seville.

💡

Visitor Tips

  • Arrive at least 60-90 minutes early for big matches. Parque del Alamillo and the fan zone are part of the experience
  • The Gol Sur is the ultra section. For first-time visitors, La Cartuja has four zones: Gol Norte, Gol Sur, Preferencia and Fondo. Preferencia offers a good balance of atmosphere and comfort. Betis also runs an official seat-release scheme, cesion de asientos, where season ticket holders hand seats back and the club resells them
  • Late kickoffs are normal in Spain. A 9pm match means you might not be leaving the stadium until 11pm. Plan dinner accordingly, Seville restaurants serve late
  • The anthem before kickoff is the highlight of the Betis matchday experience. Be in your seat early to witness it
